Leftover (2023) is installation includes video, which describes wild salmon’s life. Salmon hatch in the fresh-water stream, and migrate to the ocean as an adult and live like sea fish. Then return to fresh water to reproduce. Homing behaviour is depending on olfactory memory. I thought my life is similar to salmon’s life. I also was born in Korea, but I migrated to the UK. As a stranger came to the UK from the opposite side of this planet, struggling to settle down and trying to live like British has been harsh. Nevertheless, I always have been dreaming that one day I am able to mix into this small island.
